Available Worldwide
Salt Air Weddings is a family-owned photography and videography company based on Oahu, Hawaii.
We're two families who feel incredibly fortunate to document love stories in one of the most beautiful places on earth. From intimate beach ceremonies to full wedding celebrations, we're passionate about creating imagery that feels authentic, timeless, and true to each couple.
For larger weddings and events, we're joined by a talented team of photographers and videographers we've worked alongside for years.
While Oahu is home, our work takes us all over the world, with roughly half of our weddings taking place throughout the Hawaiian Islands and the other half across the mainland U.S. and beyond.
There is no travel fee for weddings on Oahu. For weddings elsewhere, please visit our ‘Packages & Rates’ page for travel details.
Meet the crew!
Raised in San Diego, Jacob spent the last decade working as a cinematographer and photographer for brands and artists including Hurley, Ford, Heineken, Calvin Klein, Facebook, Reef, Forrest Frank, and Sienna Mae Gomez. After years of travel and commercial work, he eventually made the move to Oʻahu to build a slower, more grounded life alongside his wife and her family roots in Hawaiʻi.
With more than 10 years behind the camera and over 200 weddings documented, Jacob brings a unique blend of commercial filmmaking experience and wedding storytelling to every celebration. His approach combines cinematic imagery with an honest, natural perspective, focusing on real moments while creating photographs and films that feel timeless for years to come. His work has been featured in The New York Times and Vogue.
When he's not photographing or filming weddings, you'll likely find him running, surfing, foiling, exploring Oʻahu, or spending time with family and friends.

Ivana Burbage
Photographer, Film
Ivana has been behind the camera for over a decade, capturing families, couples, and weddings throughout Hawaii. Originally from California with Dutch roots, she now calls Oahu home, where she is raising two children with her husband and has built both a life and career centered around the community she loves.
While motherhood has shifted her photography to a more selective schedule, it has only deepened her appreciation for meaningful moments and genuine connection. Her experienced eye allows her to document wedding days in a way that feels natural and true to each couple.
In addition to photographing countless families, couples, and weddings over the years, Ivana has worked with respected brands including Hurley, Reef, Abyss Wetsuits, Calvin Klein, Coral Gardeners, and Sambazon. Whether she's documenting a wedding celebration or a quiet family moment, her goal remains the same: creating timeless images that feel honest, beautiful, and full of life.

-
Yes. We offer photography, videography, and combined photo/video collections. Having one team handle both allows for a seamless experience and ensures your photos and films have a cohesive look and feel.
-
Our approach is a blend of documentary storytelling and editorial imagery. We focus on capturing real moments naturally and candidly, while bringing an editorial touch when the moment calls for it.
-
Of course. Most of our couples aren't professional models. We'll provide as much or as little direction as needed so you can focus on enjoying the day rather than worrying about the camera.
-
Yes. We help all of our couples build a photography and videography timeline to ensure enough time is allocated for portraits, family photos, and all the important moments throughout the day.
-
Every wedding is different, but most couples receive between 700 and 1000 edited images from an 8-hour wedding day.
-
Film length depends on the collection selected and any add-ons. Most highlight films range from 3–8 minutes, with longer edits and additional audio storytelling available for couples who want a more in-depth film.
When it comes to the creative direction, you can be as involved or uninvolved as you'd like. If you have a specific vision, style, or music preferences, we'd love to hear them. You're welcome to choose the music, leave it entirely up to us, or meet somewhere in the middle. Our goal is to create a film that feels authentic to your day and true to your story.
-
Our goal has always been to make professional wedding photography and videography accessible to as many couples as possible.
Rather than placing every couple into a large all-inclusive package, we've built our collections with flexibility in mind. Couples who want quality photo and video coverage can keep things simple and stay within a reasonable budget, while those looking for a more elevated experience can customize their package with additional coverage, longer films, audio integration, and other add-ons.
This approach allows us to serve a wide range of couples without sacrificing quality or requiring them to pay for features they may not need.
-
Absolutely. All of our photography and videography collections can be booked independently, and we're happy to work alongside other creative teams.
That said, many couples choose to book both services with us because it creates a more seamless experience throughout the planning process and wedding day. Our photo and video crew work together regularly, share a similar creative approach, and collaborate to ensure your final gallery and film feel cohesive and tell the same story.
As an added benefit, couples who book both photography and videography receive a complimentary engagement session on Oʻahu.
-
We believe booking wedding photography and videography should be straightforward. That's why we display our pricing upfront rather than requiring couples to inquire just to see if we're within their budget.
Wedding planning comes with enough uncertainty already, so our goal is to make the process as simple and transparent as possible from the start.
-
Yes. We believe communication and reliability are just as important as creating great photos and films.
Your contract will clearly outline your expected delivery timeline. If we fail to deliver your final gallery or film within that contracted timeframe, your retainer will be refunded in full while you still receive your completed media.
We don't expect this to happen—but we believe in standing behind our promises and giving our couples peace of mind when booking with us.
-
No problem. Some of our favorite images have been made in less-than-perfect weather. We'll adapt, get creative, and make the most of whatever the day brings.
-
Yes. Raw photos and video footage can be added to any package for an additional fee. Please note that raw files are unedited and do not represent the final quality or style of our finished work. All delivered galleries and films are professionally edited in our signature style.
-
Absolutely. Our collections are designed to be flexible. You can keep things simple with our core photography and videography coverage, or build a more customized experience through additional coverage, longer films, audio integration, and other add-ons.
This allows you to prioritize the features that matter most without paying for things you don't need.

Most couples book anywhere from 6–18 months in advance. Popular dates can fill quickly, so we recommend reaching out as soon as you have a venue and date secured.

A signed contract and retainer are required to officially reserve your wedding date. Dates are booked on a first-come, first-served basis.
